Trouble downloading our games?
If you are having difficulties downloading our games, please review the possible solutions below.
I don’t think my download worked. The game that I downloaded is much smaller than its reported download size.
Solution:
Every game within GameFools.com uses our special download manager (adware and spyware free) to make your download process as quick and easy as possible. The download manager is a small file which must be opened to complete each game download. For a seamless download process, you should always select Run or Open (i.e. rather than Save) when prompted by the download screen.
I saved the game file to my hard drive but I can’t find it. How do I proceed?
Solution:
Unless you select a specific Save destination for the game file, it will typically be saved in your Windows Temp folder. To avoid having to search for your game files, you should always select Run or Open (i.e. rather than Save) when prompted by the download screen. This will initiate the download manager, which will complete your game download and launch the installation screen.
When I try to download a game, I receive the error message “MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing or invalid”.
Solution:
You probably need to update some Windows common controls. You can download and install these files by clicking here.
When I try to download a game, I receive an error message similar to “MSVBVM60.DLL was not found”.
Solution:
Your computer is most likely missing some standard Microsoft runtime files. You can download and install these files directly from Microsoft’s web site by clicking here.
When I download a game, a different game title is showing up than the one I intended to download.
Solution:
In most cases, you probably saved the download manager to your hard drive and renamed it. To avoid such problems, make sure you do not rename this file. The easiest way to avoid this potential problem is to select Run or Open (i.e. rather than Save) when prompted by the download screen.
I have a downloading problem that was not covered. How do I find the answer?
