FarmVille Left Facebook: 7 Farm Games to Play on Your PC Instead
If you used to start your day by harvesting crops in FarmVille on your computer, September 30, 2026 was a sad day. When Facebook shut down its web games, FarmVille 2, FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape and FarmVille 3 all left Facebook. Zynga says your farm is safe and carries over if you move to its mobile apps.
But a phone is not the same as a real screen with a mouse and a cup of coffee. If you would rather keep farming on your PC, here are seven farm games our players love. You buy each one once and keep it: no Facebook, no energy bar, no neighbor requests.
A Quick Word on the Difference
FarmVille let you farm at your own pace, coming back whenever your crops were ready. Most PC farm games are built a little differently: you play in levels, each with its own goals, and many have a gentle clock. If you want the most relaxed experience, start with the first three picks below.
1. Farmscapes
The closest match for FarmVille players who loved making the farm their own. In Farmscapes, Joe and his granddaughter Scarlett bring a neglected family farm back to life. You earn resources by solving hidden object scenes and match-3 puzzles, then spend them planting crops, restoring buildings, growing fruit trees and decorating every corner of the ranch, with quirky neighbors and friendly animals along the way. No clock, no pressure.
2. Virtual Villagers: A New Home
This one captures FarmVille's "check back later" rhythm best. In Virtual Villagers: A New Home you look after a small tribe of castaways who need to farm, build shelters and raise families on their island. Things keep growing while you are away, so every time you open the game there is something new to tend. It is one of our best-selling games, and there are four more in the series.
3. Farm Mania
In Farm Mania, Anna and her grandfather turn their fallow fields into a busy farm. You grow wheat and corn, raise chickens, cows and horses, and use each harvest to expand the land. The best part for FarmVille fans: a Casual mode for a gentler day on the farm, alongside an Arcade mode when you want a challenge.
4. Youda Farmer
If you liked FarmVille's crafting and orders, Youda Farmer is for you. You tend crops and animals, supply the village shops, fill villagers' orders, keep an eye on market prices and move goods between villages, with country festivals and harvest parties along the way. Your goal: become the wealthiest farmer around.
5. Farm Frenzy
Our best-selling farm game by a mile. Farm Frenzy has you raising chickens and cows, turning eggs and milk into cheese, butter and cake, and trucking it all to town, while keeping hungry bears away from your animals. It is faster than FarmVille, a fun bustle rather than a slow stroll. Prefer modern graphics? Try Farm Frenzy: Refreshed, and see the whole series on our Farm Frenzy collection page.
6. My Farm Life 2
A farm on a rooftop, high above the city. In My Farm Life 2 you help Lisa grow crops, milk cows and sell goods across 60 episodes. FarmVille players who loved arranging their farm will enjoy this one: designing an efficient layout is part of the fun, along with hiring helpers and upgrading machines.
7. Farming Fever
Several farms in one. Farming Fever has you picking berries for pastries at Golden Farm, cooking seafood at the Fish Farm by the lake, raising everything from chickens to alpacas at the Township, and growing rare flowers at the Green Farm. It is a lovely mix of farming and cooking.
