Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor is part of a series, and each installment follows the same format. You visit a number of rooms and find objects that you can then use in that scene or in other scenes. What makes it unique in the genre is that the objects are fragmented into as many as five pieces, which makes finding them challenging. Other fragments of objects cannot be found until you place an object you have already discovered where it belongs in the scene. Even more challenging is that some of the fragments for one object are hidden in more than one scene. This can be occasionally frustrating because the hint feature does not always provide much help. However, it is still a fun game with beautiful graphics and a pleasant soundtrack. It comes highly recommended.

I always love all these kinds of games. This one is a good starter game for the whole collection that I purchased. I like how all of them connect with the previous ones. I am on the last game now. Keep in mind I have played all of them before. However, I enjoy starting from the first one and just continuing. It is always fun to have them all together. Not to mention the bundle GameFools offers when you buy all of them. Best PC game site ever!

All the Mortimer Beckett games rock so keep them coming. I can't get enough of them. I have played them all.

I found this game to be a fun and fairly easy hidden object game. There is no need to go back and forth between different locations or to the map to figure out which of the seven places you need to revisit for an object. As someone who enjoys simply finding things, I appreciate this straightforward approach.

It was a lot of fun. I wished it were longer. The concept is simple to understand and enjoy. The map is a big help because it indicates what you need to do in each area. It shows how many things you have left to find, how many items you need to place, and how many puzzles you have left to solve.

My favorite game yet! I love just clicking and not typing. I need all of the Mortimer games because one is just not enough when they are so addicting. Thank you, GameFools!

I liked this game, but I have some reservations. The introduction demonstrated how the game is supposed to operate and showed how to find the required items. However, once you begin the game, the ease of locating things goes far beyond expectations. The targets are obscured to such an extent that it is virtually impossible to complete rooms without totally exhausting the resources provided. Very little forgiveness is allowed for those of us with limited discernment skills.

Good games that are easy to play with family kept everyone entertained. I liked it so much that I bought the rest of the game series.
