If you have never played Oregon Trail, you are missing out. It's a wonderful simulation of the 1840's journey so many Americans made from the Mid-West to California. Even though the game is simple, the harshness and difficulty of the journey communicate unmistakably. Kids will play it over and over without realizing it's 'educational' and adults won't care. This is a great game.

This game offers the best of version 2 coupled with the opportunity to actually fish much like hunting in v2, plus a chance to view the plants gathered and throw out the poisoned ones. An online guide lets you know which is which. This includes pictures and some notes about each plant. I give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
Better than what I was expecting. The game is both fun and educational. Thanks to the botany skill, I learned a lot about plants. I would recommend this game.

I love this game, and have had it on prior systems. Game itself is the same as when I had it many years ago. Very old school which is what makes it fun.
The graphics, storyline, music and characters are all awesome. I would advise others to invest in buying this game. Hours of game time to enjoy.
This game is just like I remembered as a kid. Now my son can play. He loved it. Educational, meaningful and fun!
It was great to relive childhood memories! The game is just how I remembered it. Great gameplay, easy download. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves the series!
This game is so nostalgic! I give it two thumbs up. I can remember playing this game for the first time in grade school. I get the same excitement playing it as an adult. Endless fun and excitement.
Nostalgia at its finest. I bought this game three days ago and have been playing as much as possible, but I haven't even left town yet! There are so many items to buy and haggle over. You have to consider weight and anticipate all the possible needs of your group. I don't think I ever put this much thought into it when playing as a kid. Can't wait to leave town!
Best game ever! My childhood memories are forever with me. Thank you guys so much for carrying this game. Thank you for my childhood memories. Definitely recommend this amazing game!
Never can get it past Fort Kearney, but it was nice to see the game I remember being addicted to years ago. Hunt often. Worth the money just to see it again and load the wagons and head on out.
This is a great game and the journey is never the same! There is a lot to learn and explore. I would highly recommend this game to anyone of any age.
I love this game and used to play it all the time but lost it and I was really excited when I saw you guys had it.
I remember playing this game as a child and I loved it. I played it again and it's just as entertaining as an adult.
Cool game, love it. I used to play it in my childhood. It will attract people who love travel and history -- perfect time pass. Loved it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very interesting game. I became immersed in the experience. Also a very good educational tool for younger players.
I love this game. It brings me back to when I was little playing it on the classroom computer. Awesome!
This is basically the same game as Oregon Trail II with a few added features. In addition to hunting, you can fish at river crossing and gather wild plants. The game is a fair replica of the CD-ROM game.
I love this game. I remember the first version. It keeps you interested. I like the fact that you have to make decisions and think to play. I never get bored with this game. I am glad that GameFools had it, as it is not easy to get your hands on. I had the first version, but it would not run on my computer. Here at GameFools, I was able to download and play. The price was excellent.
It is very time-consuming. Lots of things need to be done before you even get started. Please note that everything you do affects the outcome of your travelers. It is good if you want to take your time with a game.
I really like the gameplay. It is very interesting and fun to play. I am always looking for a new game, and this is a great game. I recommend anyone to try it out!
Definitely a fascinating game. Something I played in school so many years ago, and just loved it. Not quite your Call of Duty or Halo, but for all those who wanna play for old time's sake.
Oregon Trail: 5th Edition is a fun blast from the past. Reminds me of a choose your own story book. Start easy or hard, it's up to you! I am planning on getting a copy for my niece. All in all, it's a fun way to learn a little history.
This game is just as I remember it when I played in the 90s. My 10-year-old son enjoyed it. We initially had issues with the game freezing, but turning off the sound and narration helped prevent that. Our issues may have been due to him using an old computer. For a few bucks, this game was worth it. It is fun and also has some educational elements!
The game is very nostalgic to me. If you have played the game in the past and are looking to relive the experience, I would say it is well worth playing.
I played this game with my kids and loved it. Now I'm having fun playing it with the grandkids. Brings back great memories as we learn about our great country.
This is the best, just as I remember it. My daughter and I have had a lot of fun playing it. It brings back so many memories while we are busy making new memories. Thank you.
Yes, I like the game very much. I had a text only version when I was teaching in high school many years back in the 1980's, playing on a Commodore 64. Also bought a board game, playing it with my wife and young son at the time. However, now with the graphics that were developed, it makes the game even more interesting when playing on the computer. It is a very realistic simulation and good to use as a teaching aid for history. I am no longer a teacher, but it brings back happy memories when I was younger. Thank you to the developers that make this game run well on a new Windows laptop.
This is one of my favorite games. It brings back childhood memories. I'm happy I found the game that I can play on Windows 10. It runs great and of course the graphics aren't at 1080p, but it'll work.
I really enjoyed this game. I especially liked the simulated hunting. It was an interesting experience as I took a simulated journey from Nauvoo to Salt Lake City.
This is a fun and exciting game. It takes me back to the adventure games I played in the early 90s. My only complaint is that I wish the graphics were updated. All in all, this is a fun game.
This game is entertaining for sure. I bought it years ago and it still requires the same brain activity as before. We need to use our brains more often. I do like the intelligence needed to play.
